Teaching with Modern Family

Modern Family presents an opportunity to use “real life” examples of economics in the classroom. Clips from the show are often appropriate for a variety of different classrooms, both at the high school and university level.  Below are two sections, the first lists teaching topics that others have put together and are available online and the second includes a list of topics that we have arranged for use in a principles of economics classroom or an advanced placement economics classroom.

If you know of other academic work that uses Modern Family to teach, or if you would like to share teaching topics, please contact us.
